My husband and I were driving through town from Florida and stumbled across this place. I ordered a small plate with potato salad and the soup which were really good! My husband ordered a brisket sandwich and he really liked it. The price was very fair and the staffs were friendly. We'd definitely come here again if we're in the area.

Good barbecue baked potato and ribs! Wanted to try the brisket but decided that would wait for another day. Building is very small but they do have a drive thru and a small screened porch to eat outside. Friendly people and super fast service especially for how busy they were. Prices were decent, not over inflated like everywhere else. They had a wide variety on the menu also, lots of options! Will return!

I like this place a lot and wish they were open every day of the week instead of just Wednesday through Saturday. I enjoy the friendly faces there and you always get nice service. Though the lines are long (because the food is great and they're the only reputable BBQ place in town) the food is worth it. From the pulled pork, to the baked/grilled chicken, to even the ribs, there's always something to hit the spot and you can't beat that large sweet tea. That's a giant cup of tea for a nice low price.

We stopped in while traveling through. It was OK. I'm not a fan of shredded pork that's soaked in BBQ Sauce. I prefer to taste the meat and not just the sauce. I liked the Brunswick Stew and my wife didn't care for it - I think I liked it because it reminded me of the stew at my neighborhood Hickory House BBQ in Atlanta. The French Fries were just average. I will say that the staff were friendly and the service quick - it should be, I don't think they could have squeezed another person into the kitchen space.

The Loaded stuffed potato was great, not to mention the Oreo pudding, it was everything I wanted it to be!

This rating is NOT on the building but don't let the cover allow you to pass by. There are Not any bathrooms nor sinks to wash your hands. Kinda not good if traveling. The seating is fine. It's a simple screened in porch next to the entrance. It's counter ordering. Not very big, one person should go in to do the ordering. All seven ladies that are in there working are very kind. From what I could see, it was kept extremely clean. We ordered two brisket sandwich's which has a tale in its self, my son ordered his brisket sandwich and the counter lady asked the ladies in the back if they had any brisket left. voice from back said "some, we can make a small one" my son says "I can get something else, I'm kind of hungry so a small one won't work". Voice from back says "it's ok, we will get more from up stairs". Not so funny until you see the establishment, it does NOT have a second floor lol. So this has become a joke. Back to review through, 2 brisket sandwiches, 1 pork & slaw bbq sandwich and a brisket tater with cheese and sour cream. They say it's diced up Tators but it a loaded baked potato with brisket, cheese, bacon and sour cream. (Very very good), green beans, baked beans, coleslaw and a iced tea. Finally!!! Good iced tea. Very good actually and that's where it starts. The food was so delicious. The brisket sandwiches are on the small side so just order two, it's worth it. The pork & slaw was a perfect combination. The green beans are canned but I like canned green beans so they were very good. The Baked beans are not anything crazy just good simple baked beans and the coleslaw was sweet & tangy which is the way I like it, so it was wonderful. They have two bbq sauces, a mustard base and a traditional base both are equally good. Had the ladies been rude it may not have been a worthy stop... nahh, it would have been. But I am glad they were so friendly. All the little oddities at this stop made it a perfect lunch stop. I give five stars all the way around because it's not the atmosphere that makes a place, it's the people taking your order, preparing your food, and the food. It's a must stop. I have not tried the "Oreo pudding" aka mud pie. I'm told it's the best. Oh the cakes are made locally by a baker in the area. They are sliced and ready for consumption. This was a very tasty meal.

Great place, highly recommend if your craving first class Barbeque. The staff is pleasant, knowledgeable, caring and professional. The cook should be competing at the national level. If you like, no, love Barbq then you will absolutely love Wares.

Simple barbecue joint while passing through the backroads of Georgia. Easy to find location (just look for all the cars pulling in). There are only a few tables outside. Barbecue was good. Ordered the sauced pork barbecue. It had a good flavor, but it is not sweet nor is vingegar-y. Get there early because it packs out quick with walks-ins and people driving through their drive through. Order the banana pudding if you can. It sells out quick. No bathrooms from what I could tell though, so that's why there's a star deducted.
